Personalized Medicine

The FDA recently approved Nitromed's BiDil for the treatment of heart failure in American Blacks. This has turned out to be a controversial decision as it seems to contradict the [inaccurate] belief that there are no biological differences between ethnic groups.

Lifestyle Drugs

I have not posted for a while but I read this article and felt I had to...

The FDA may soon approve Johnson & Johnson's dapoxetine for the treatment of  premature sexual ejaculation. Aparently this affects 15%-30% of american males. Contrast that to malaria which, according to the CDC, kills over one million people every year  (300 - 500 million occurances each year.)
